New Years Resolutions

Hi guys! Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I will be re-editing a lot of my art work. My inking pen just came the other day (yay!
) but I'm still waiting on the Nibs and Ink, so I'm hoping to re-post all of my manga art in the next month or so when I will have finally inked and coloured them.
So, here's my list of new years resolutions for 2016:
• Finally finish a volume of my manga novel
• Start a photography business (that might be more of a wish
)
• Start posting more fan art and tutorials
• Begin my novel idea that I've been sitting on for over a year
• Maybe start doing commissions
I would say eat less chocolate, but I think I've got enough up there for now

I Am Me

I saw this challenge set by Iduna-Haya called I Am Me where you write 11 positive things about who you are. It's such a beautiful idea I thought I'd join in!
Okay, here goes...
1) I am joyful and positive - I believe a smile can make a difference
2) I have a bonkers sense of humour
3) I'm never bored - I entertain myself with drawing, reading, daydreaming etc...
4) I am a good secret keeper
5) I believe in natural beauty
6) I don't judge
7) I'm proud to call myself a true nerd
8) I aspire to make myself a better person
9) I am loving and loyal
10) My friends are my family and I love them to pieces
11) I am me
So there we have it!!!!
I suggest that if you haven't heard of this yet, you try it! It's an amazing way to stay positive and you'll realise you have more good qualities than you thought!

Amazing News (well, for me at least :p)

My final year of art education is coming to an end (sad times 
) and I've been panicking recently over what on earth I'm going to do once I'm done with collage. However, whilst I have been bashing my head against brick walls worrying how I'm going to get a job or whether I should or should not go to university, my very lovely tutor has offered me some work experience at his shop during the summer doing...(wait for it)...GLASS BLOWING!!! 
Just putting it out there that Glass Blowing is super cool. I've never tried it before but I've seen it being done, and it looks very hard and very dangerous (what in the world was my tutor thinking...) So I'm VERY excited for summer to come around. Of course, once summer is over I'll be in the same predicament as I was before, but I'll worry about that hurdle once I get there. Really I want to focus on my photography without having to go to uni, so I might start looking for some apprenticeships. (To see some amazing glass work look here: londonglassblowing.co.uk/)
Whilst I'm at it, just want to put out a special thanks to my watchers, Iduna-Haya, Ikonokl4st and WillLeavey, and anyone else who has favorited or commented on my art. I've only been a deviant for a month, and I'm so glad to have so many people watching my art already. Thank you so very much

Hi everybody! Wow - my first Journal entry! I'll start by saying hi!
I'm Matty, and relatively new to Deviantart. I hope you guys like my art work
I like doing a bit of everything, and my biggest phase at the moment is ceramics. I'm a keen photographer too, and a big promoter in traditional arts, especially seeing as our collage is making changes to turn it into a digital course. In the long run I aim to make my own manga, which is proving tricky at the moment because I'm a poor art student and I can't afford the art supplies I need XP
I'm insane about Japanese culture, and the dream is to live there one day when I can get my head around their language. I am also a little bit of a nerd; especially when it comes to the Hunger Games and Portal. I am also a lifelong dedicated fan to Imagine Dragons.
I've just come back from a trip to London, and it was insane. My first time being in a city too, so it was a bit of a culture shock! I think I'll stick to the country...
Thanks to all the lovely people who have checked out my page and favorited my work. I'll keep updating - plz comment on my art, I'd love some straight talking criticism
